Default Game Mechanic Questions

Is there a cost to respec Career or Renown Points?

Are Public Quests worth taking the time for if you're making XP and getting gear in other areas of the game? OR Is there any other benefit to Influence XP besides gear?

What prevents me from simply repeating scenarios to quickly build Renown and Career XP?

How much is a level 20 mount? Should I be saving?

What crafting profession do you guys recommend? I've done a fair bit of scavaging, but is there more than just getting poor loot?

And I'm digging Skull Throne a lot more than I ded Bechafen.

There is a cost to respec career or renown points. I think the first respec is 1G, not sure after that.

Public Quests are worth the time if people are there doing it and you're out of quests at your level. If you don't care about the loot and don't have an aoe farm team to do them, it's not your best xp/hr.

Nothing prevents you from repeating scenarios to build renown & career xp.

Level 20 mount is 15g, usually end up getting enough cash well before 20. On my WH I had 30g come mount time, and 4 levels later I had almost 50g even after buying the mount so, cash comes easy, not a big worry.

Crafting I'd recommend not really doing, but I might be bias.

The gear dropped in PQ is good as well as the renown points it gets you which also get you gear that appears to better.

But I have just done RvR after RvR and forgot about doing quests which is another quick way to get XP. I have respected renown and I think its 80 silver the first time but goes up each time.

PQs don't offer renown points.

Yup I meant Influence points for PQs which do offer Elite picks.

I wish the renown gear was a bit better. Looks like it gets substantially better around later tier 3, though, so I guess in due time it will be. Questing is probably the quickest way to level while you have quests available. But, if you run out of quests and don't feel like grasshoppering it through all three books.. easier to just RvR, and more fun of course.

When first playing with Bright Wizard I was averaging 6-7K XP in RvR and those games average about 10 mins a piece so I was cranking through the levels, XP dropped of when I hit Tier 2 though.

you get twice the xp if your #1 on damage in rvr if you leave the scenario groups, and you get twice the renown if you heal while not in the scenario groups. Which i think is pretty dumb considering that they should reward grouping more.
