K i'm digging this thread up from the depths of the forums.

the iPhone kicks ass. I switched from Verizon to AT&T and got myself an iPhone 3g. It is, by far, the best phone i've ever had. It works well as a phone - it does things a lot of other phones don't do (or don't do well).

Plus, the apps are nice and theres a lot of good stuff to be had. It's got its downsides, but it's a DAMN nice phone

A buddy of mine has one and he showed me how you can have it listen to a song and it will tell you the name of the song and who sang it. Pretty cool.

yup, theres a few apps that do that. Really is an awesome phone. Great apps, great phone

Lacks handsfree commands and an easy-to-use bluetooth (no easy access to the on/off switch, have to go thru settings), no task list that syncs w/ outlook, calendar feature is so-so.

Otherwise an excellent phone. Easy to use, good in-call options (conference, hold, mute, etc), good browser

REALLY nice phone. I'd give it an A-, only because I'd rather have a task list that syncs easily

A lot of phones have that Song ID thing, not just the iphone. With verizon it's called V Cast Song ID.

Getting one christmas day from the wife. Looking forward to it. I already have modded the hell out of my razr and use it for internet and apps often so I'm sure I will enjoy my iPhone.
